Want to know all the ways to get Shards and more in Raid: Shadow Legends without spending real money? HH Gaming’s YST has you covered!

YST has searched every corner of Raid content to find all the ways you can earn some of the most valuable in-game items without spending a dime. Many of these methods are easy to miss but offer some of the most in-demand items for free – especially Shards and Skill Tomes, which are essential for finding and strengthening the best Champions.

We’ll break down what you can get from each content area, and what to focus on to maximise your Raid swag. Make sure to check out YST’s full video at the end of this article, too.

One of the easiest ways to get free rewards in Raid is through the daily login rewards. These are quite generous, and you’ll be able to pick up Ancient Shards, Gems, Skill Tomes, and even free Champions, including High Khatun and Visix the Unbowed.

To get these goodies, it’s as simple as logging in each day and grabbing what’s on offer. What’s more, daily login rewards stay active even after you collect all 271 days’ worth of rewards!

You don’t need to spend to get rewards from the Raid Shop – simply check in every day for a free Mystery Shard, and every seven days for a free Ancient Shard.

Keep an eye out for free packs too. These are usually named “Regular Pack”, “Small Pack”, or similar, and will pop up when you log in. You can find and claim these free packs in the “Limited Special Offers” tab in the shop.

Make sure to claim these daily for free Silver, Brews, and Charms, and do note they have a time limit and will expire!

The Market can initially seem underwhelming, but it’s worth unlocking all market slots. The main reason to do this is that five Ancient Shards are rotated on the Market per month, and cost 200K Silver per Shard.

This gives you an easy, guaranteed way to pick up Ancient Shards regularly. All you need to do is check back and keep a note of how many Ancient Shards you’ve bought that month. Once you’ve picked up all five, you can wait for the next rotation.

Mystery Shards are also available very often at the market.

You’ll earn lots of rewards simply by leveling up, so don’t forget to check your Progression Rewards every five levels. There’s everything from Epic Skill Tomes and Gems to Void and Sacred Shards, with rewards getting better the higher the level you reach.

Here are all the rewards available:

Don’t sleep on Referral Links! There are some excellent rewards available, including Chaos Ores, Legendary and Epic Skill Tomes, and of course, Void and Sacred Shards.

You’ll earn more of these rewards based on the referred player’s activity, and with three referral links available, that can mean quite a lot of top-tier items and Shards!

It’s entirely possible to reap these rewards alone if you want to set up multiple accounts, too. That said, given the importance of Clans in Raid: Shadow Legends, getting a few friends involved will pay off in the long run for everyone.

Plarium Points are worth a quick mention, although getting all the rewards available will take a very long time without spending real money.

That said, you can earn Plarium Points simply by playing for 120 minutes each day. Additionally, playing Raid using the Plarium Play Launcher on a Laptop or Desktop enables you to earn additional Plarium Points every 30, 60, and 120 minutes you’re in-game.

The top reward is Searsha the Charred, although you’ll need an eye-watering 25,000 Plarium Points to reach her.

There are three Mission Paths you can follow, starting with the Arbiter Missions. You’ll need to complete the Arbiter’s Missions in order to unlock Ramantu’s and Maruis’s Missions.

If you’re a new player, these Missions are well worth doing, but the rewards are valuable for more advanced players too if you’ve passed on them so far. The main reasons to complete these missions are:

• Free Champions (Arbiter, Ramanatu, Marius)
• Lots of free chests
• Free Void Shards
• Free Sacred Shards
• Free Ancient Shards
• Legendary Skill Tomes

Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Advanced Quests are a reliable way to get hold of Mystery, Ancient, Void, and Sacred Shards (and some other good rewards). Generally, they’re not too hard to complete, either – especially the Daily Quests. Here’s what you can get:

Monthly Quests:

• Sacred Shard

• Crypt Keys

Don’t overlook the Gem Mine early on. If you invest in unlocking and upgrading this as early as you can, it will pay itself off in value quite quickly. Gems will become more important as you progress further into Raid, and having a fully leveled Gem Mine means you’ll be earning free Gems as you play.

If you’re planning to play Raid: Shadow Legends long term, this is well worth the initial Gem cost.

There are many benefits to joining a Clan in Raid, and Clan rewards are one of them! The Clan Shop has various rewards on rotation, including Void Shards, Glyphs, Chickens, Silver, and Champion Shards.

You can earn the Clan Gold needed to buy these items by completing Clan Quests and other Clan activties. Leveling up the Clan also provides access to better rewards in the Clan Shop.

Participating in Clan vs Clan tournaments and Hydra Clash can earn you some good items too, although these can be tougher work. Earning points in Clan vs Clan tournament activities, for example, will allow you to access Milestone Rewards. These can include Epic and Legendary Skill Tomes, Void Shards, Charms, Clan Gold, and more at Tier 6 (even Tier 1 has decent rewards, including Chickens and Energy). Additionally, you can get also earn personal rewards on rotation from Clan vs Clan Tournaments, as well as additional rewards if you Clan wins.

Hydra Clash offers some of the most valuable drops in the game, including Primal Quartz and Mythical Skill Tomes, Clan Gold, Clan XP, and Artifact Chests. The Clan Boss is one of the best ways to get Skill Tomes, Shards, and Artifacts in the game. What’s more, you can farm the Clan Boss without having to use valuable Energy.

This means dropping in for some daily Clan Boss bashing will give you a steady supply of all types of Shards (including Sacred Shards).

That said, to get the best rewards, you’ll want to farm Ultra Nightmare difficulty. Getting a team up and able to do so should be your priority, then you can watch the rewards roll in!

Another content area that requires no energy to farm, Doom Tower is a top location for earning Silver, Charms, and Void Shards.

You can also pick up some good Epic Champions from the Secret Rooms. Progress to Hard Mode as soon as you can to start picking up valuable Epic and Legendary Skill Tomes from Doom Tower, too.

The Arena is a great source of valuable items in general, especially Shards. There are different rewards available for Classic Arena, Tag Team Arena, and Live Arena.

Classic Arena:

Even in Bronze Tier, you’ll find Ancient Shard rewards, not to mention Gems and Artifacts in reward chests.

Silver Tier contains Gems and Ancient Shard Rewards, as well as some XP Brews.

Gold Tier is where you’ll start finding Void Shards and Skill Tomes. Gold Tier V is the best one to farm for Void and Ancient shards once you get there.

Platinum Tier is where the best rewards are, of course. Chests in this Tier can contain Sacred Shards Void Shards, Legendary Skill Tomes, and some cool Avatars for your account too.

Tag Team Arena:

You earn Gold Bars in the Tag Team Arena, and these can be exchanged for items in the Baazar including Energy, Ancient Shards, Void Shards, and even Sacred Shards.

Live Arena:

Live Arena rewards contain Primal Quartz, which you’ll need to be able to make Primal Shards and summon Mythical Champions. You can earn up to 400 Primal Quartz per month in the Live Arena.

This makes a total of four Primal Shards per month if you get lucky! and there are some good milestone rewards too, including XP Boosts, Chickens, Gems, Ancient Shards, and Energy.

The Hydra is a multiheaded menace, that’s for sure, but it also has a great selection of rewards at every level of difficulty.

Even at Novice Difficulty, you can get Soul Stone drops from the reward chests, along with decent amounts of Clan Gold that you can use to buy rewards from the Clan Shop. These rewards scale as you complete higher difficulties, meaning you can earn some significant amounts of Clan Gold once you start hitting Nightmare Hydra.

Hydra Clash is also worth mentioning. This will require the whole Clan to pitch in, but the rewards can be awesome for your account. If your Clan manages to rank in the top spots, you can get everything from Primal Quartz to Mythical Skill Tomes, as well as masses of Clan Gold and Clan XP.

The Cursed City of Sintranos plenty of one-time rewards you can pick up, including Skill Tomes, Soulstones, and Soul Coins.

In addition to the one-time rewards, it’s worth completing the Cursed City Quests to earn Candles. The more Candles you earn, the more rewards you can unlock, including large amounts of Energy, Silver, some Chickens, and even a Feast.

In addition to being a source of Glyphs and Materials for the Forge. The Faction Wars progression path is packed with beneficial items. It’s also worth doing to get Lydia the Deathsiren for free once you complete all steps.

The more stars you earn in Faction Wars Stages, the more rewards you’ll unlock. Even the early rewards include Ancient Shards, Epic Skill Tomes, Silver, and Energy.

Eventually, you’ll be able to earn Sacred Shards, Void Shards, Soulstones, Chickens, Legendary Skill Tomes, and more!

Faction Wars Tier List

The Campaign is an area all Raid players will have progressed through, but it’s often tempting to stop your Campaign progress once you reach specific farming stages such as 12-3 Brutal or 12-7 Brutal.

Carrying on into Nightmare, however, will give you access to some top-tier rewards including Rank 5 Chickens, Silver, and another Sacred Shard. The only potential downside to this is the Energy costs for running stages on Nightmare difficulty. That said, you only need to 3-star every stage once to get all the rewards, and there’s no need to revisit Nightmare once this has been done.

Almost all Dungeons in Raid will drop Ancient Shards as well as gear, so you can often pick up some while farming for gear or competing in tournaments. Once you get to Hard Mode, Ancient Shards and Silver will also be the main rewards in addition to Artifact drops.

Iron Twins will drop the resources you need for Soulstones, and if you can, it’s best to farm this Dungeon on Sundays as you’ll get increased drop rates. Keep in mind that Iron Twins farming can quickly burn through your Energy, however.

Raid has regular events and tournaments running almost constantly. These range from Fire Knight Turn Attack Tournaments to Champion Upgrade Events. All of these events also have rewards, and you can often pick up some worthwhile items and Shards even if you don’t place in the top ranks.

As a result, make sure to check what events and tournaments are active, and jump into the ones that have the best rewards for you at the time – it’s worth it dropping into an event just to pick up a choice item or Void shard before moving on, for example.

Keep a special eye out for Classic Arena Tournaments too. Arena matches don’t require energy, and you can complete your Daily Arena Quest at the same time as participating. Many events have a good synergy too, so you can earn points for two at once. A Dragon Tournament running alongside a Dungeon Divers event is a good example. Use these to your advantage.

Champion Fragments that you obtain from Fusion Events can be exchanged for rewards, making them worth holding on to (until you can exchange them) even if you aren’t after the current Fusion.

Finally, the Free Forge Pass can be a good option for additional free rewards including Charms, Glyphs, and Silver.
