NASCAR's Erik Jones: Burnin' Rubber 5K Run/Walk for Charity (2025)

NASCAR driver Erik Jones is bringing his foundation's mission to life with the inaugural Burnin' Rubber 5K Run and Walk. The event, hosted by the Erik Jones Foundation, will take place on November 8th at the Owosso Speedway in Michigan. Jones, a native of Byron, Michigan, will lead the runners and walkers to the starting line and join in the event. The proceeds will support the foundation's mission, which includes childhood literacy, early cancer detection, and animal welfare. The 5K course starts and finishes on the speedway itself, with specially designed finisher medals awarded to participants. Age group awards will be given to the top three finishers in each run division. The 5K run and walk is $40 for adults through October 31st, after which it increases to $45. Children 12 and under can participate for free, with adult supervision required. A Kids Run will also take place at 11 a.m., comprising one lap around the speedway's track. Registration for the 5K is available online, and those interested in becoming a sponsor can find additional information on the event's website. This event is a unique opportunity to support a good cause and get active, all while enjoying the thrill of a NASCAR driver's foundation.
