As you all know I did a post about the LightHouse Church (located in Houston Texas) about a month ago.The church received substantial damage from Hurricane Beryl when she rolled ashore the Texas coast in mid July.The storm knocked out power to millions and caused substantial damage around the city both wind and flood wise.Dozens of people died in the aftermath after temperatures reached into the upper 90's to low 100's with horrible heat indexes and humidity.Parts of the city are still recovering from the hurricane as is the church...I'm sure a large part of the congregation also suffered through this terrible tragedy however,it seems that Paster Keion and his wife have no shame begging the congregation for money...In fact...Pastor Kein says that he did the calculations and if all 20,000 of the members gave 2,100 dollars each,they will be able to both rebuild AND upgrade parts of the church that was destroyed.God is not mocked and Mr.Henderson seems to be making a mockery of him.Here is the video of him begging for the money

The Lighthouse, one of Houston's largest megachurches and one of nation's fast-growing Black churches, announced that its North campus had to be "closed indefinitely" due to the significant damage suffered from the hurricane. It's still unclear when the North campus will reopen, but during a phone call Tuesday, Henderson estimated it would likely cost between $10 million and $20 million to replace what was lost in the storm, including the roof, drywall, and the building's electrical and sound systems. An insurance adjuster is expected to determine the true cost later this week, he added.
Three out of four of Lighthouse church locations have now been shut down due to the damage from Hurricane Beryl, including its large North campus. The storm also damaged the church's rented storage units. "Everything we had was attacked," Henderson said, adding that he expects the church's two smaller campuses, its West and South locations, to reopen sometime in August.
In Tuesday's interview, Henderson described how the Lighthouse had been seeking to complete "upgrades" to the church's North campus in hopes of expanding the sanctuary's size. On average, more than 3,000 people attend his Sunday sermons at the main location. But the church is still forced to turn away about 600 individuals each weekend due to lack of space there. In the church's attempts to expand, Henderson said the Lighthouse was appraised two months ago and had increased its insurance policy without knowing the hurricane was coming.
After Hurricane Beryl caused $20 million in damage to three of his church's four campuses, Pastor Keion Henderson, founder and CEO of The Lighthouse Church & Ministries in Houston, Texas, says God told him He damaged the churches so he could rebuild facilities twice as big and that his followers would give him approximately $4.4 million in three weeks to do it.
Henderson made the bold announcement in an update on the state of his churches on Wednesday night from Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church, where he says he'll be hosting services for his 20,000 weekly attendees in August.
While Henderson lamented the damage to his churches as "catastrophic," he claimed God revealed to him that it was all His doing so Henderson could build a bigger church to accommodate the thousands that want to hear God's Word from him.
"I won't pretend like I can do this by myself. If I could do this alone, trust me, it would be done already. But I am a feeble man who puts himself at the mercy of the court and asks you to join me in a journey because we do not have time to waste. We cannot build, and we cannot raise money for three years and then build another two years and have all of these people displaced," said Henderson.
He claimed that before the damage from Hurricane Beryl, the church turned away between 600 and 700 people from his campuses weekly because the sanctuary was beyond capacity.
"God gave me a vision, and He said we can do it in 21 days. I'm asking 2,100 people to give $2,100 in the next 21 days, and what we're calling it is 'Out of the Harbor,'" Henderson said.
"I call you from California. I call you from New York. I call you from Florida. I call you from the U.K. I call you from Africa to join us in our call to action: 2,100 people, $2,100, 21 days, to kickstart our efforts to get back into our building."
Henderson said that while some people may believe that insurance will be enough to cover the losses, he doesn't think it will be enough to cover God's vision for his church because the payout will be based on "depreciated" value.
My thoughts...
Now...I believe Va'Shaundya is worth a good 40 million and Keion worth a good 20 million and they have a house worth 4 million...We know that people of their congregation in Houston have probably suffered significant damage and insurance will probably not cover all of the damages and you want them to dip into their purses to help with a whopping 2,100? You'd be lucky to get anything that they offer at this time with the storm recovery and the economy we are in.Have Va'Shaundya get her rich Hollywierd friends on the phone and start a fundraiser or have them donate or have the other BBW's kicked her to the curb as well?
