Prepare to be amazed! Willy Chavarria, in partnership with adidas, has unleashed a sneaker that's boldly striding into the future: a combat boot reimagining of the iconic adidas Forum. This isn't just a shoe; it's a statement.
This powerhouse creation, unveiled during Chavarria's Fall/Winter 2025 presentation, seamlessly blends adidas' sporty heritage with a futuristic, utilitarian edge. The design features a rugged lugged outsole and an elevated platform, perfectly complementing the soft leather upper. This combination gives the boot an urbane ruggedness, a signature of Chavarria's brand aesthetic.
Of course, the boot proudly displays adidas' signature Three Stripes, subtly integrated in a tonal colorway to maintain the shoe's sleek appearance. You can find these G.I. Joe-esque boots on the adidas website starting December 10th.
But that's not all! This collaboration also includes four upgraded versions of the adidas Jabbar sneaker, a classic that Chavarria clearly adores, as demonstrated by previous collaborations.
Previously, Chavarria transformed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's signature sneaker into several cream-colored marvels, each bearing both Chavarria and adidas branding, along with a pointed toe for added flair.
This time, however, Chavarria takes the Jabbar down a darker path. The collection includes the sneaker in four distinct colorways, including an all-black pair with a flipped-out pony hair tongue, reminiscent of adidas' equally stylish collaborations with Wales Bonner. There's also an all-black pair with vibrant red Three Stripes and an all-white option. This collection is a masterful exploration of adidas' darker side.
Here's where it gets interesting: The use of pony hair and the flip-tongue design elements might remind some of other collaborations. What do you think about the design choices?
