Chapter Text

“Y/N?!”

Your eyes snapped to Angel standing in the middle of the hallway, with a jolt like you had been shocked. What the f*ck just happened? Whatever, at least Angel was here now and you could leave. “Hey! Ready to go?” You pointed your thumb towards the elevator, then clicked the button to go down. You turned back to Vox, who had taken a step back from where he was, after Angel walked in. “I think I’ll be leaving now, Vox. Try doing something about it, I dare you.” You smirked, fluttering your fingers as you waved bye to him while entering the elevator with Angel. Vox’s expression was smug as he watched you through the metal doors closing. Yeesh. You pressed the main lobby button and the elevator began moving down. “Ooo, have you thought about what you wanna get?” You asked, looking up at Angel who was only returning your enthusiasm with concern. “We’re not gonna talk about what I just walked in on?”

“On what?” You raised a brow, then recognized he was referring to your little tiff with Vox. “Ohhhh, did you hear all that? Can’t handle rejection, can he?” You snickered, rolling your eyes.

“No, no, I didn’t. I walked in and saw Vox starin’ you down with his creepy hypno-eye out.”

What ? Your eyes widened, then they narrowed. “Are you playing with me right now? You’re being serious?”

Angel nodded. You looked from him to the floor as your heart began pounding. Your skin was heating up, despite the coolness of the air. You didn’t remember that. He hypnotized you. “sh*t, you…he got you, didn’t he?” Angel’s voice was somber with realization. You subtly nodded your head. “And did you hear what he said?” You asked, looking down at the floor still, hoping he could tell you and you would break out of it. The drawn out silence was answer enough, but Angel still said it. “No. f*ck, I wish I had.” He placed a hand on your shoulder. “That dipsh*t…” You trailed off, your mind going wild. Vox hypnotized you. He f*cking hypnotized you. Your biggest weakness wasn’t that if you were trapped you couldn’t get out of it. It was that you didn’t know when to get out of it. It was that you got too confident, you let your guard down thinking that Vox couldn’t do anything to you. You flew too close to the sun. He still could do something, and what was so much worse was that you didn’t know what he did to you.

You were actually shaking with anger when you entered the car, enough for Angel to notice. “Woah, hey, talk to me. What’s goin’ on in your head right now?”

“I don’t even know where to start…I feel like I’ve lost control of myself completely, like I can’t trust my own mind. Like, what if what I think isn’t true, and it’s what Vox wanted me to think? What if I’m not who I think I am??”

“Your name is Y/N L/N. We’re friends. You’re the CEO of Intuition Media, the top marketing agency down here. Uh, you live at the Hazbin Hotel, with all your pals, including yours truly.” Angel counted off each point he said with his fingers, his eyes never leaving your face. “Does that sound true to you?”

You felt a glimmer of hope in your heart, enough to calm your incessant shaking. That was all correct. “Yeah, it does.”

“Okay! Now lemme ask you this: do you have the unbearable urge to go buy VoxTek sh*t?”

“Ha! God, no.”

As if, VoxTek was so invasive. “See? It can’t be worse than that!” Angel joked. Your smile faded as worry began to set in again, and you bit your lip. “Hey,” Angel nudged your arm. “We’ll get to the bottom of this, and snap you outta his dumb hypno sh*t. I don’t care if it takes all night.”

“Yeah?” You glanced back up at him to see his gentle smile. Thank God for Angel. “Hell yeah.” He answered, opening his arms to hug you. His determination was enough for you to let your anger simmer down. You would figure it out, take back your control, and then make Vox pay dearly. You hugged him back. “Thank you, Angel.” You exhaled, letting your body give up for the moment. Angel’s voice lightened, and he hugged you tighter with all of his arms. “Don’t mention it. That’s what friends are for, ain’t they?”

You both stepped out of the car, standing before the Hazbin Hotel. “So, how should we go about this?” You asked, staring at the stained glass windows in the doors. “How ‘bout I quiz ya? And you can quiz me on what I know about you, like trivia! We’ll go over everythin’ we can think of. And if you do or say somethin’ out of the ordinary, I’ll be able to call it.” Angel suggested, pointing his fingers at you with a look of excitement. You felt hopeful, and took it as a good sign. “I think that sounds good! I just wanna go change first, I totally reek of Valentino.” You stifle a laugh, trying to stay positive despite the doubts you felt underneath. “Ha! Good idea, I’ll be at the bar when you’re done.” He nudged you with his arm, and smiled. You each placed a hand on a door handle, about to open it when Angel paused. “Wait. Before we go in, you don’t have any urges to like hurt anyone or anythin’ do ya?”

“No, actually!” You beamed, looking up at him. “That’s good, right? I don’t feel any urge to do anything specific. So that means he didn’t hypnotize me in that way.”

Angel smiled brighter, “Now we’re gettin’ somewhere! We’ve got this, piece of cake.”

You opened the doors together, walking into the lobby. You were just going to go upstairs, change, take a moment to yourself, and then go back down. The faster you figured out what Vox said, the faster you could come up with the most appropriate revenge plan. You made your way to your room, and lept to fly backwards onto your bed. You moved your arm up to cover your eyes, trying to focus on your breathing. Just a quick moment to yourself before you went downstairs.

“Good evening, darling!”

You jumped at the voice next you, immediately warping to another point in your room, reappearing with a stumble. You steadied yourself on your heels properly, fixing your hair and then meeting Alastor’s stare. He was just sitting there on your bed next to where you used to be laying, looking at you with that creepy grin on his face. “I see you’re putting that power to use!” He laughed, watching you try to recompose yourself. “Ha, yeah.” You smiled, trying to hide your irritation. This was the last thing you needed right now. Why did he always have to linger in your room?

“How was your day?” He sang, standing up and walking over to you. “Oh it was good, it was good.” You lied, shrugging a shoulder. “And yours?”

“Better now that you’ve returned!”

Yeah, I bet you were just waiting for me to get back so you could try and spook me. Alastor circled behind you, and you felt his claws gently pluck the lapel of your cropped blazer, and pulled it back and over your shoulders to take it off of you. Begrudgingly, you let him, shifting your arms backwards so he could remove it. Weird. You couldn’t help but notice how his fingers traced over your now exposed skin, down the crook of your neck to your shoulders and along the length of your arms. Once the jacket was off you spun around, taking it back from him.

“Thank you.”

“My pleasure.” He smiled wider, eyeing you in your little black strapless dress and tall boots. You darted your eyes from him, taking a step backwards to your closet and playing with the ends of your hair with one hand. “So, was there anything you needed?”

“Well I thought you would tell me all about your day! Especially after we made that deal earlier.”

“Just like finishing up some ad campaigns, paperwork, and then my meeting with Valentino- which went smoothly.”

“Oh now don’t hold out on all the details! Start again from the top, and don’t leave a thing out.”

Was he being serious? You didn’t have time to go over every little thing, and you really didn’t want to either. Okay, maybe now you could be more direct. “I’m sorry, Alastor, but I’m just really tired and when I came up here I actually was thinking of having some alone time.” You gave a half-smile, tilting your head to the side towards the door. Please take the hint.

Alastor’s grin widened, his eyes glinting mischievously. “Oh?” He asked, leaning down to meet your eye line. “Well, it’s a good thing it’s just us in here then, hm?”

Holy sh*t, was he playing dumb on purpose or was he actually oblivious to your request? Did you seriously have to clarify for him? Suppressing a sigh, you tried again. “Oh, I actually meant by myself.”

The sudden record scratch that cut through the air caught you off guard, making you flinch. There was a silence now, as Alastor studied you. “Is everything alright, darling? You seem a tad off to me.”

“Yeah, everything is fine!” You reassured, relaxing your voice and waving your hand. “Just a long day, that’s all. I just want to be alone for a bit, if that’s okay?”

It was painful to have to be all nice still after he nearly ruptured your eardrums, but that’s just how you were with people you didn’t like. It pays off, because when you needed him earlier for that deal, he agreed to it. Pathetic, honestly, but you got what you wanted, and that’s all that mattered.

“If you’re certain that’s all it is.” He raised a brow at you, as if he was trying to warn you not to lie. Like he could tell if you were. “I’m certain, Alastor.” You smiled softly at him.

He stared at you a moment longer, then shrugged his shoulders with his hands raised. “I’ll leave you to your alone time then. Perhaps you could visit me in my radio tower after?” He asked, walking towards the door to leave.

“Yeah, we’ll see!” You nodded, knowing you were just going to forget about it. You held open the door for him, and you gleefully watched him walk out. You moved closer, about to push the door closed when he reached out and lifted your chin so you were looking at him as he bent down close to your face. You didn’t move, confused as to what he was doing. “Ah-ha, darling, don’t you want to lean in?” He asked, eyes half-lidded as they flickered between your eyes and lips. What. The. f*ck . What the f*ck was he doing? Was this a prank? Definitely. Oh, and what a sick prank. “Only in your dreams.” You quipped with a grin. You lifted your chin out of his grasp, then quickly shut the door in his bewildered face.

You changed your outfit into a short black skirt with a maroon red ribbed tank top under a matching cropped v-neck sweater that almost fell off your shoulders. After slipping on some short black sling-backs, you were ready to head down to the bar to meet Angel. You wanted to avoid any run-ins with Alastor if he was still lingering around, so you decided to shadow warp downstairs. No one saw you, as you casually walked to the bar from behind the wall you teleported to. Angel was sitting there, hunched over and furiously typing on his phone while Husk cleaned glasses. Husk nodded to you, as you took a seat on one of the stools. “Hey! How’s it going?” You greeted warmly to Angel and Husk. Angel looked up with a smile, and set his phone down on the counter, stretching his arms. “Eh, good as I can be after such a long shoot. Ya ready to see what I’ve got planned?”

“Am I ever!” You chuckled, quirking a brow. “Okay, whiskas, this involves you too so listen up,” Angel leaned on the bar towards Husk, who now seemed to be interested. Angel explained that he wrote down a bunch of topics that ranged from your worklife to personal life, and your past life before living at the hotel. Angel’s plan was for you to answer questions about those for him, and Husk was going to help with verifying information since he had known you for a long time. “What a pile of e-waste sh*t. I thought he wasn’t allowed to try and f*ck with you after that bet.” Husk pointed out to you with a concerned look in his eyes. “That bet only prevents him from attempting to keep me from fighting in The Extermination with you guys, giving me sh*t about joining The Vees and cutting ties with him, and trying to get me to trap me. So, whatever he said, couldn’t have exceeded those bounds.” You explained, tapping your nails on the bar to emphasize each point. “f*ck, that still isn’t good,” He gripped loudly. He recognized your unease and tried to relax with a sigh, then mustered up a softer, more encouraging tone for you. “Well, we’ve known each other for a while, I’ll help you as best as I can.”

“Thanks, I really appreciate it, both of you.” You looked at each of them, and they each gave you a smile in return.

“No problem,” Husk smiled, then turned to his array of alcohol. “What’ll you be having?”

“Cosmopolitan, please?”

“Your signature drink!” Angel exclaimed. You “So, I don’t think that Vox would use his powers to hypnotize me into not liking those.” You laughed and got more comfortable as Husk got started on making drinks. “Hey, ya never know. Maybe he just wanted to f*ck with ya by only choosing something small so it would drive you crazy.” Angel raised a brow and pointed one of his index fingers up. Damn, that could be possible. “Oh. Maybe. I guess we have a lot to cover then.”

—-

Such a serious interrogation became your personal comedy show story hour as you recounted stories that were prompted by Angel and Husk. Maybe you were getting a little off topic, but with how nothing so far seemed to misalign, you all had to start getting creative. You established that you did not have feelings for Vox, all of your projects were accounted for, you still felt good about the Hazbin Hotel. Vox knew a lot about other things in your life though, and he was the type to remember all the details you shared with him. And because you were sort of friends, you didn’t mind talking to him about your life. So now, at this point, you were just babbling on about anything and everything about your personal life.

“And then, I was like, you know what, f*ck it, so I bought the club!” You wheezed, taking a sip of your drink and then holding your arms out with a flourish. You weren’t drunk by any means, just hyped up on energy drinks. Angel was actually drunk though. He was laughing his ass off, and banged his fist on the counter. “You bought the whole ass club?”

You gave an overexaggerated nod with a huge smile on your face. Husk snorted, leaning on the counter with both paws. “And then she f*ckin’ fired the sloppy bartender that tried spikin’ her drink.”

“I regret nothing.” You half-deadpanned with a finger gun.

“You shouldn’t! Do you still own it? What’s it called?” Angel asked, looking at you for more information. You and Husk looked at eachother, and then you hung your head as Husk spoke. “The Nightlight. I won it from her in a game of poker, but I sold it a while back.”

You laughed, gesturing towards Husk. “I really love how Husk was the one that taught me how to play, just to destroy me later when we actually played with stakes.” You leaned on the bar, dramatically taking Husk’s paws in your hands. “How could you betray me like that, Husk?”

“You are such sh*t at poker, I couldn’t resist. Besides, you bought the club on impulse for crying out loud.” He sneered with a smile, and you let go of him. “Uh, it was my dream to turn it into a roller rink until you crushed it for me.” You emphasized by flicking your palm upwards and then taking another sip.

“And I had a good time doing it.” He taunted, with a sh*t-eating grin on his face as he peered down at you slumped before him on the bar. “I’m sorry, is that you dad?” Your voice quivered, and then you burst into laughter at the sight of catching him off guard. You and Angel were clinging to the bar counter for dear life as you both laughed hysterically. “You said you two met at a party, right?” Angel inquired, pointing fingers at both of you and then crossing them. “A ‘chance encounter’ if you will.” You beamed, leaning over to Husk who rolled his eyes.

“‘Chance encounter’ bullsh*t. Miss Socialite here had been huntin’ me down to get my business.” He grunted, taking a gulp from his bottle of booze.

“But to you it was a chance encounter, and you totally fell for it, and I got your business.” You quipped back to him with a wink. “Just like how you got Jay a week ago!” Angel exclaimed, then suddenly groaned remembering that night. “You got me all excited for nothin’ I thought you were gonna go get laid finally.”

“Ha! Oh my god, I probably could have if I wanted to, he was totally into me.” You giggled, flipping your hair.

“I’m surprised you still decided to take him on then.” Husk added, taking Angel’s empty glass and refilling it for him.

“I only did because he gave me his soul, which means he can’t try anything.” You grinned, tapping the side of your head. Husk gave a questioning look, sliding the glass back to Angel. “Not lettin’ another Vox thing happen again?”

“Shudder, no, no,” You moved your hands as if to cut the air with them. “Absolutely not.”

“You said it made you feel a bit sad that you had to cut 'em off. Do ya’ still feel that way?” Angel asked curiously, taking a huge gulp from his now full martini glass.

“Yeah, I mean, I don’t regret it at all. But he was a good client before all that, I did genuinely like him in a way, as I said. He could be really thoughtful and sweet and funny.” You listed, crossing your arms over your chest and leaning on the counter as you recalled it all.

“But he was too controlling.” Angel finished for you, and your eyes lit up. “Just like my ex!” You laughed, and Angel hit his fist on the bar again, laughing with you. “The narcissist fiance?”

“That’s the one!” You pointed, then your laugh started to die down. “Ugh, I don’t know, there’s something about me that makes people hellbent on wanting to control me. My parents, my ex, Vox, literally every other demon that's tried taking my soul. I’ve always been the type to just want to do my own thing, I don’t get how that’s so hard to understand!” You sighed, tilting your head back.

“I can’t say much for your parents, but aside from them, you want me to tell you why?” Husk asked, and your eyes widened as you abruptly fell forwards to get closer. “You know why? Do tell, oh wisest bartender.” You smiled, curious to know what he would say. Husk sighed, and gave you a half-smile. “Don’t go crazy ‘cause I’m admittin’ it, but you’re charismatic-”

“Tell me something I don’t know.” You giggled, and Husk rolled his eyes at you. “Aw I was just joking, go on, go on.”

“You reel ‘em in, but at the same time, you’re a free spirit, and not chained to anyone. Folks see that, and take it as a challenge to be the one that finally reels you in. You’ve made a reputation for yourself in that way, intentional or not. Everyone wants what they can’t have.”

“Pshhh, I let people have me, like, to an extent. I give the people what they want.” You defended, tilting your head to the side. You made people feel good and special about themselves, and you let people know you liked them, or at least led them to believe you did if you didn’t.

“Yeah, to an extent- leavin’ em guessin’ your intentions. You don’t give anyone the pleasure of knowing you for certain.” Husk stated. “Like you have this distance you keep everyone at, just out of reach for you. Didn’t ya think that might hurt?”

No? You didn’t think that would hurt? You knew how you affected people- that’s how you gained so much attention and built such a successful company. You acted that way to make connections, to be on everyone’s good side so no one would give you a problem. You didn’t exactly anticipate that would be the cause of your main problems though. It worked a little too well. That’s just kind of how you were though, to get what you wanted. And it worked out, because that way no one could control you.

“What Husk is tryna’ say, is you’re a tease, Y/N, and everyone loves a good chase, ‘specially for someone who’s never been caught.” Angel added in, giving you a smirk.

“It’s not an excuse for the sh*t you’ve gotten about it, but it explains why some f*ckers get so worked up over ya.” Husk reassured you.

“Yeah, I am, a tease aren’t I?” You laughed, trying to loosen up after such a turn of conversation. Honestly you weren’t sure what to expect when Husk offered you an explanation, but considering how perceptive he was, his answer made total sense. Time to change the subject. “What’s next on the list?”

—--

Alastor had been waiting for you to show up all evening. Every time he checked the time he felt worse…something was definitely not right. You were yourself in the morning, no doubt. When you visited him in the late afternoon you were more serious than usual but that quickly changed into affection. When he visited you after you came home from work though, that was where things didn’t make sense. Typically you would come home and talk all about your day to him from what flavor of coffee you decided to have, to project details, to gossip about clients. You’d even pull out that tablet to show him what you were working on. But today you skimmed over everything in such a boring way. He felt compelled to believe you when you said that you were merely tired from work and wanted to be left alone for a little while. You had always been fairly independent. Though, when you rejected his kiss and shut the door in his face- he couldn’t brush that off. He thought maybe you were teasing him in some way, but you never came up to his radio tower. Alastor had waited far too long now, and decided he needed to check in on you.

He warped to your room, where he did not find you. You hadn’t even taken your belongings out of your bag…you hadn’t been doing work in this time. Time to look elsewhere! He warped downstairs to the parlor, but was drawn by the sound of your laughter on the other side of the lobby. You were sitting at the bar with Husker and Angel Dust, trying to say something through your laughter as the other two laughed along. You spun in your stool to face Angel Dust, and it was evident you weren’t drunk. Alastor noticed how your cheeks reddened when you were intoxicated, so you likely just got there to the bar, or had only a few drinks so far. Either way, Alastor wanted to investigate and find out what you were up to there.

“Well, well, what do we have here at such a late hour?”

Your laugh began to falter, seemingly about to answer, but Husk beat you to the punch. “Vox hypnotized her today and now we’re tryna’ find out what it was. We’ve been here all night talkin’ about sh*t.”

Alastor’s jaw tightened as shock and rage ran through his body, now understanding why you were acting so off earlier. “He what ?”

—----

You were so startled you nearly fell out of your stool. The lights flickered, as the air grew heavy with static, and you turned around to see Alastor with radio dials in his eyes. You turned back to Husk, grabbing and frantically shaking his paws. “Why would you tell him that?” You dragged out, completely appalled.

“He asked, and I answered. Maybe he could help ya.”

Help ?” You repeated back mockingly. “Oh yeah, because Alastor would much rather help me out instead of trying to toy with me for his-” You added a radio filter over your voice, “‘-entertainment’.”

“Well it is true.” Alastor piped in, stepping to the side and bending down to your level, and you rolled your eyes.

“Weren’t you just sayin’ earlier how he’s helped you before when you stopped by to get those papers today?” Husk interjected, raising a brow at you while he crossed his arms over his chest. “What?” You felt a surge of confusion, and looked over at Angel for some kind of clue. “He’s right, I mean, from the looks of it you’re close. That’s what I thought.” Angel tilted his head at you. You paused, looking down at the counter and then meeting Alastor’s eyes. Close?

You felt a pang in your skull, as realization coursed through you. You gasped, and from the look on your face, it was clear that you snapped out of it. “We got it! We got it!” Angel shook you by your shoulders, and your hands came together in a high five that turned into a tight hug. Oh you were so happy to be out of it. f*ck Vox, his attempt to mess with you was like barely even worth it. You were still going to have some kind of revenge though, and now you could formulate the perfect plan. You pulled back, tears basically pricking at your eyes from how relieved you felt. “Thank you both so much!” You smiled, running a hand through your hair.

“Aw anytime, toots. I’m gonna pass out now.” Angel replied before throwing himself down onto the bar counter. Husk chuckled at Angel then turned to you, “I’m glad I could help you out, kid.”

You reached over the counter to pull Husk into a hug. He patted your back as you held him tight. You loved him, you really did. He actually was like a dad to you, in a way. You could always count on him. You didn’t realize how much you could until now though. Both of them, staying up to help you out. You retracted, and met his tired but overall relieved eyes. You glanced over to Angel, letting out a soft laugh. “I’ll take care of him.” Husk said, giving you a thumbs up. “Then I’ll make sure she gets to bed!” Alastor wrapped an arm around your shoulders. “Goodluck with that, boss. She’s had three of those drinks.” Husk replied, pointing to an empty can. Husk was right, you had no intention of going to sleep.

With one last goodnight to Angel and Husk, Alastor warped you both into your bedroom. The moment you rematerialized, you wrapped your arms around Alastor to hug him, burying your face in his chest. Alastor hugged you back, one arm clutching your waist against him and the other tangled in your hair as he held the back of your head. Your mind was racing with thoughts now, as anger and relief swirled in your mind. You were angrier than you had ever felt. Vox took your freedom to be with who you wanted to. No, no, you couldn’t stand for that. As much as you thought about asking Alastor to summon a baseball bat for you so you could smash Vox’s f*cking screen into pieces, even in your angered state, you knew better. You couldn’t directly hurt Vox, no, that would only cause more trouble. But you had to get even. He messed with your head, so you would mess with his. Eye for an eye. You were going to go over there, and give Vox the nightmare of his existence. And then, you were going to make that nightmare into a reality. And now, you knew just how you were going to.

“Y/N?” Alastor asked, pulling backwards and lifting your chin with the hand he removed from your head to direct your gaze up to him. You had been holding onto him so tight he got concerned. Looking into his eyes you felt even angrier that Vox tried to keep you from him. But right now, at this moment, you could make the most of regaining your control back. You pulled Alastor down by the lapel of his coat into a kiss. You made it rough, grabbing at his hair and tugging, which drew out a surprised groan from him. You couldn’t help it, you were angry. Without breaking apart, you led him to your bed, pushing him down to sit which he obliged. He pulled you by your hips so you were straddling his lap, then parted. “Well isn’t this a contrast from earlier.”

“I want to make up for it.” You answered before kissing him again and biting his lip to draw his blood. He winced, just barely, trying to contain the moan that still reverberated in the kiss. You glided your tongue across the wound, smiling with the murky taste. Alastor dragged his claws down from your neck down to your waist under your sweater with one hand, and the other pulled at your hair which made you yelp. He took the chance to part again. “That wasn’t your fault. Though, I appreciate your desire to make it up to me.” He added, his nose grazing across your cheek as he made his way to your jawline to begin pressing kisses on you. You tilted your head back into his pull on you, giving him better access to your neck as his kisses moved downwards. Your one arm wrapped around his neck, and the other clung to his hair. He started nipping at you with his sharp teeth, biting you until you bled, then kissing the marks and licking up the blood. “You’re all mine.” He muttered in between kisses. “I will break Vox for making you think otherwise.” He bit you again, and a moan escaped your lips. “Some pathetic attempt at taking you from me.” He added, breath hot against your skin.

“Oh, I’ve got a plan to get even, if you’re interested.”

“I’m listening.” Alastor smiled wider against your skin, though not taking his attention away from marking you up.

“Remember how I said I would join your broadcast if I wasn’t working with Vox anymore? Oh, and remember the day we met when Vox called me up and I had to calm him down because he interpreted that commercial as me promoting his rival?”

“Like it was yesterday.” He replied, shifting you closer to him on his lap.

“What if we did that?” You proposed, excitement dancing in your eyes. “I’ve got a couple days before I go on vacation, and I’ll design a killer campaign around it, and then I’ll launch it.”

“You mean violence won’t be involved?” Alastor questioned, raising a brown in skepticism.

You chuckled, cupping the back of his neck with your hand. “There’s a workaround that with details I haven’t exactly figured out yet. But aside from that, what do you think? We can start doing segments together in the evenings, whatever you want for your schedule. I’ll make the promotions completely your style, trust me, I know you wouldn’t stand for anything modern, and we don’t need to use your picture either. I have a vision for this, to make the lights of Hell to glow red just for you, Alastor.”

You held your breath, as he let the anticipation in the air grow around you as he stopped to look at you.

“I do adore you, my darling.” Alastor purred, “I love how you think.”

“Is that a yes?” You asked eagerly, the blush on your cheeks heightening from his compliments.

A wicked grin spread on his face as he looked at you with half-lidded eyes. “Yes.”
