Are custom scope turrets worth it? ›

The biggest overall advantage of personalizing your rifle scope is the improvement in shot accuracy. Custom options such as turrets are tailored to your specific ammunition, environmental conditions, and even your shooting style. This allows for finer, more precise adjustments in distance and windage.

For manual control, sit in the main co*ckpit. Press (G key) to open the Toolbar Configuration Screen. Under All Blocks, RMB-click the "Custom Turret Controller" block, and select Control as function. This adds manual control of the turret to toolbar slot 1.

As of update 01.051 turrets can be manually controlled through a co*ckpit. This can be done by entering the Control Panel Screen and clicking the "Control" button, or by adding the turret Control action to the toolbar. You exit manual control by pressing 'F'.

Turrets will continue to track and engage a locked target until either it becomes invalid (due to range, damage, etc). Targets will also be removed if you leave the 2.5 km targeting range.
